The purpose of this clinic is to demonstrate and instruct training techniques that assist in building and achieving a solid foundation in natural horsemanship.

The exercises taught aid horseman of all levels and persuasions, English and Western, in building a better relationship and partnership with their horses.  These techniques and exercises are based on feel, timing, and the concept of pressure and release, without force.

These training exercises allow a connection with your equine partner not generally achieved by traditional methods.  The skills taught in the groundwork session not only help to gain control on the ground, but also in the saddle.

The definition of natural horsemanship, communication with your horse, how horses learn and perceive, and how to address common issues on the ground and under saddle will be discussed.

Skills development will focus on respect, space, engaging and moving horses feet, longeing, desensitizing, the concept of, “5 easy pieces”; how to control every aspect of your horses body from his nose to tail.
